Well, the state convention is over. I had a good time and learned a lot about what happens at the state level
in our Union. I met quite a few new people, and even saw some people I met last year at the National convention. While at the
convention I took a few notes to inform the membership what happened while I was there.

We had a total of 2 National Officers, 14 State Officers and 403 Delegates, representing 36 Branches
statewide. Beechwold Station took up a collection totalling $1245 for the NYC relief effort. The State Association donated $2000
for the cause. There were three resolutions and one constitutional
amendment presented. All of them passed without objection.

For those of you that were wondering about the carriers at the World Trade Center towers, there were
40 carriers that served both towers. No one was injured luckily. PMG Potter says the 800 - 2500 management positions will be cut.
It was also noted that the Postal Service is in the red $1.65-$2 billion. There is a test going on in a few cities in which mail
is put into plastic bags. One idea that the Postal Service came up with is the placing of ads on postal vehicles and in offices.
I remember seeing something on TV a few months back and saw and AOL ad on the side of a LLV.
We held state elections today also. All officers were decided by acclamation. The results were:
