Do I have
your attention yet? I hope so. There has been so much added to the Branch
website that if you haven't been there lately you don't know what your missing. I hope I can remember everything. For starters, the report from the President's
Commission on Postal Reform is online.
This is located in the new Education section. Here I'll continue to add information that
will educate all of us letter carriers on what is going on here locally as well
as nationally. For those Union members
that have moved and haven't sent a Change Of Address to the Branch, you can now
do it online! The email will be sent to
the Branch Secretary (Jack LeVally) with all of the information that you
provided.
Another new addition is the Delegation
section. Here, you are able to see all
the Ohio Senators and Representatives with their mailing address, phone and fax
numbers, website, and even email address.
One
feature of the website that I'd really like to push is the message board. Here you can post messages concerning just
about anything. Right now there is a
thread about the Postal Commission report.
I'd really like to see more posts here.
Also, the
pictures from the food drive, State Convention and the MDA golf outing are
online. To make things easier on those
with dialup, I found a great program to make thumbnails of the pictures. Now, if you'd like to see a bigger view of
the picture, just click on the picture!
With the thumbnails working, load times should DECREASE dramatically.
Speaking
of the State Convention, there are the results from the election for State
Officers and the Executive Board. As well as information on State Constitution
changes and Resolutions that were presented to the delegates.
Its been
2 years since the Branch and I started on this project and to celebrate, we now
own the domain www.nalc-branch78.org for the next 9 years!! I hope that everyone that reads this has been
to the website at least once and better yet, come back to it weekly or better
yet, daily. To give you an idea of what
type of traffic the website has generated check this out.

forgot, with the new addition of some PTF’s to regular, a few retirements and
such, both seniority rosters are updated.
