I.          Minutes of Aug. 13 Meeting..  J. LeVally.  Approved as read.

 

II.          Secretary Reports.  R. Santavicca.

  1.       Communications.  None.

  2.       Bills List.  Approved by Trustees.  No questions.  Bills are paid.

  3.       Applications for Membership.  One. Approved.  [Angela O’Day].

 

III.         Reports of Standing committees.

 

  1.       Education.         R. Solt.  Retiree seminar Aug. 28th.  Steward Meeting Oct. at 6:30                                    PM   President reported on retirement seminar.

 

 

  2.       Law.                 J. LeVally.         Proposed Change to Art. VII Sec. Read (Change

                                                            would alter officer pay.

 

  3.       Retiree.             J.LeVally           Retiree Dinner October 4th at Berwick Party House.

                                                            Social hour [finger food] at 6PM]  Dinner at

                                                            7:00PM

                                                            Senate Bill S-1 Which has passes and is in conference

                                                            with house would allow employers to reduce or cancel

                                                            health benefits for retirees over sixty five.  Age dis-

                                                            crimination. 

 

  4.       MBA.                R.Kirk.              No Report

 

  5.       Safety.              T. Snyder          Winter is approaching.  Make sure wipers are in work-

                                                            ing order.  Are scrapers and de-icer available?

                                                            Reflective vests for casuals is being discussed.

 

  6.       Soc./Rec..         Y.Miller             No report.

 

 

IV.        Treasurer          B. Pagano         No Questions.

VIII.       New Business.

 

  1.       E. Stewart.        The Branches and Stations are in need of refrigerators and Micro-

                                    waves.  The Soc/Rec committee is no longer able to provide these

                                    items .  The service should provide as all personnel in the office use                                   them.  President.  “This item is on the agenda for the next Labor-

                                    management meeting.

 

IX.         For The Good Of The Association.

 

  1.       B. Fuller.           Automatic COLCPE deductions?  Procedure should be out soon.

 

  2.       T. Payne.          Need volunteers for Branch Picnic. 

 

  3.       Motion.            B.Pagano.  The Branch will make a refundable deposit of $2500

                                    to secure the lowest airfair to the convention.  Second. Y. Miller

                                    Passed.

 

  4.       Y. Miller.           Should start working on One New Toy projects now. 

 

  5.       R. Santavicca.   Retirees should remain active in the Branch.  Retiree dues are only

                                    $20.00 per year. 

 

  6.       R.Evangelista    Need volunteers for Labor Day parade  Nov. 4th. 

                                    Randy Hartman was named replacement on Executive Board. 

 

  7.       R. Kirk.             Worked telethon and suggested that more Carriers should take

                                    part.  Also suggested that you attend the camp held for the

                                    MDA kids in the Spring.  Very uplifting.

 

  8.       Rocco.              Rap Session.  Presidents Commission Report was topic discussed.

                                    Recommend.  Take away collective Bragaininig, closing offfices,

                                    temporary help.  Presidents tape in mail to all employees.

 

  9.       R.Mitchell.         Close Sat. and off days would be Sunday and Tuesday,

 

 10.       E.Thomas.        APWU has fought modernization from the beginning and all

                                    the crafts are paying for the APWU stance.
